We collect, maintain and analyze a variety of socio-demographic data regarding Alabama’s population and disseminate vital information to public and private agencies for use in strategic planning and program development. We provide this information to hundreds of individuals representing a variety of organizations every year. The uses of this demographic information are varied and range from documenting a need to support a grant request to providing background information in a human interest story in the newspaper to determining the appropriate location for a specific business. Depending on the size of the request and the time required to produce that information, this service is typically provided at no cost to the requestor. It is simply a service that we provide to the public.
